For entry as a trainee in 2022, we encourage applicants to apply by 31 October 2021 by sending your CV and a covering letter explaining why you would like to join Boult Wade Tennant to email@example.com. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview and those that are successful will be sent an offer letter.
One thing to remember is that we believe the interview process is a two-way affair. It’s about us finding the right person to join our team but equally it’s about you finding somewhere where you can flourish and where your career as a patent or trade mark attorney can grow.
Candidates are welcome to apply to one or more of our trainee scheme, our vacation scheme or open day. We are a disability inclusive employer. Should you require any adjustments made for the interview please contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The intention of the vacation scheme is to give you the opportunity to gain some work experience as an attorney and to see what it is like to work at our firm. The scheme normally takes place in July each year and lasts one week.
During the scheme you will attend discussion groups and presentations, work on real cases with attorneys and observe a trade mark or patent moot. You will meet people across the firm and see first-hand how we work. Where possible, you will be invited to lunches, after work drinks and socials throughout your time with us so you can really get to know us.
To be considered for a place on our training programme you will need at least:
a 2:1 undergraduate degree (obtained or predicted). Those with a patent interest must have, or be studying for, a technical degree (science and/or engineering).
340 UCAS point (AAB) at A level. For international students, we will expect the equivalent national qualifications.
To take part in our 2022 vacation scheme, please send your CV and covering letter explaining why you would like to join Boult Wade Tennant to email@example.com. The closing date for admissions is 22 April 2022. Candidates are welcome to apply to one or more of our trainee scheme, our vacation scheme or open day. We are a disability inclusive employer. Should you require any adjustments made for the interview please contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We held our first virtual open day on 9 September 2021, aimed at university students. Participants were given the chance to ask us questions and learn more about the IP profession as well as get a much better understanding of what it is like to be a trainee at this firm. It was a fantastic opportunity to network with people at all levels at the firm. Details of future open days will be posted here in due course.
